Position Summary: As a Patient Support Specialist for our online diagnostic platform, you will provide the highest level of customer service in a collaborative office environment. The ability to anticipate patient needs and implement our thoroughly-developed communication strategy is crucial to meeting and exceeding patient service objectives while keeping our company's mission and values at the forefront of every conversation. This role will be responsible for providing support and assistance for our patients. Our ideal candidate would have strong customer service experience in the healthcare industry or experience in a call center atmosphere, a positive attitude, adaptability to change, and a strong work ethic.
This role will report into the Grandville office. This role will report to the Patient Engagement Manager and will work a hybrid position Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm. We will not be considering remote applicants at this time. The hourly pay rate starts at $18.00 and is dependent on experience.
Responsibilities:
Answer incoming calls, chats, and emails to assist patients with their inquiries
Schedule patient appointments for our medication management and teletherapy treatment programs.
Provide information about our leading brand, ADHD Online, LLC and services to potential patients
Facilitates the process for patient requests for assessment addendums and second opinions from Psychologists
Submit requests for patient accommodation letters/forms to Psychologists
Process payments and refund requests
Uses critical-thinking and problem-solving skills to address the needs and concerns of patients
Release of Medical Records
Ability to multitask and prioritize multiple responsibilities
Collaborate with other departments
Fully compliant to HIPAA policies and procedures
Requirements:
High School Diploma/GED required, some college preferred
2 years of customer service or healthcare experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in the ability to work in multiple software systems
Strong ability to use de-escalation techniques for dissatisfied patients
Adaptable to change
Attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications:
Medical billing and coding experience preferred
Experience in mental or behavioral health or telehealth preferred
