Audiology Assistant/Patient Care Coordinator

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Audiology Assistant to join our team. This role is essential in providing support in various capacities to our team of audiologists. The ideal candidate will possess a general understanding of audiology, hearing aids , and exhibit excellent patient service skills. This position requires a proactive individual who is passionate about contributing to patient care and enhancing the overall experience for our patients.

Duties
  • Assist audiologists in patient assessments and evaluations.
  • Provide exceptional patient service, ensuring comfort and understanding throughout their visit.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation, including medical terminology.
  • Support patients with empathy and care during their appointments.
  • Collaborate with the team to implement the best care for each patient.
  • Utilize knowledge of hearing health to assist in treatment plans.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the workspace to promote a safe environment.
  • Answering phone and returning calls
  • Address inquiries, schedule appointments, and provide information about hearing aids or services.
  • Obtain hearing aid benefits and prior authorization from insurance
  • Create a positive customer experience by addressing concerns, offer assistance, and facilitate effective communication between the audiologist and the patient.
Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of ENT/Audiology is essential.
  • Experience or familiarity with patient service, particularly in ENT/Audiology, is preferred.
  • Proficiency in medical terminology is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on empathy and understanding.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving within a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to healthcare regulations.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
