Patient Supplies - Materials I

We are currently seeking a full-time Patient Supplies - Materials I applicant to joy our Team!

I General Summary

The Materials I position is a member of the Patient Supplies group, and is principally responsible for maintaining inventory of supplies and replenishment of supplies in patient care areas as well as fulfilling all supply requisitions with excellent customer service. This position is also responsible for ensuring accurate and up to date information in our Materials Management software. Additional responsibilities include support of shipping, mail, and receiving.
Principal Responsibilities and Duties

Process requisitions and assure delivery to the intended departments.
Daily re-stocking of Med Surg, EC, and ICU departments with patient care supplies.
Assist with deliveries, offloading trucks, and distributing items to stock or the intending department.
To be involved in the mail duties of sorting incoming and processing outgoing mail.
To provide back-up support to shipping and receiving,
Assist in maintaining accurate inventory counts.
Assist with unforeseen miscellaneous Materials Management responsibilities.
Ensure a neat and organized work area.

Physical Requirements

Materials management is a physically demanding activity that will require lifting and stacking supplies, delivering carts of supplies, assistance with unloading and receiving packages. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs.

Qualifications

Staff in the Materials I position must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, and be able to talk to patients and staff in a clear, professional and respectful manner.
Staff in the Materials I position must understand how to properly use Materials Management software and have the ability to follow documented processes.
Staff in the Materials I position must have excellent time management skills, the ability to prioritize critical tasks over less critical tasks, and an ability to stay focused on tasks.
Staff in the Materials I position must possess good judgment and problem solving skills, and have the ability to understand processes and participate in collective efforts to improve processes.
