Qualifications:

Less than high school. Two years of housekeeping experience and complete an OR certification program within 9 months of employment.

Less than High School

Responsibilities:

Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental, and infection control standards.

Performs terminal cleaning procedures of the OR rooms and prepares room for next case.

Cleans and disinfects floors with required protocol.

Moves equipment and furniture in OR rooms in accordance with cleaning procedures.

Gathers and disposes of trash and waste materials.

Participates in educational programs and inservice meetings. Obtains and maintains OR cleaning certification.

Buffs, strips, waxes, polishes, and top scrubs floors.

Performs regular housekeeping duties in non-patient OR areas.
