On-Call Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) - 7 On / 7 Off Schedule
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate On-Call Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) to join our home hospice team in Tucson, AZ. This role offers a 7 on / 7 off schedule, providing a great work-life balance. The RN will be responsible for responding to on-call needs, making home visits, and providing comprehensive nursing care to hospice patients during their on-call rotation.

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate On-Call Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) to join our home hospice team in Tucson, AZ. This role offers a 7 on / 7 off schedule, providing a great work-life balance. The RN will be responsible for responding to on-call needs, making home visits, and providing comprehensive nursing care to hospice patients during their on-call rotation.
Responsibilities:
- Provide on-call nursing care and support to hospice patients in their homes during assigned shifts.
- Respond promptly to on-call requests, assess patient needs, and provide appropriate care, including pain and symptom management.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary hospice team to ensure continuity of care.
- Perform urgent and routine nursing visits, administer medications, and provide interventions as needed.
- Educate patients and families on disease progression, symptom management, and end-of-life care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient interactions and care provided.
- Coordinate with other members of the hospice team to address patient and family needs.
- Current RN license in the state of Arizona.
- At least 1-2 years of hospice or palliative care experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently and make critical decisions during on-call hours.
- Strong clinical and assessment skills with a compassionate and patient-centered approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance.
