Summary A Level 2 Quality Radiographic Inspector in an OEM or Overhaul Aerospace company is responsible for performing and interpreting radiographic inspections to ensure the integrity of aerospace components. This role involves preparing and executing radiographic tests, analyzing the resulting images for defects or irregularities, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and specifications. The inspector also collaborates with engineering and quality assurance teams to address any findings, maintains accurate records of inspections, and may provide guidance and training to Level 1 inspectors. Overall, they play a critical role in ensuring the safety and reliability of aerospace products. Essential Duties LEVEL 2: In the method in which certified, Level 2 individuals shall be capable of and have the responsibility of: Set up and standardize equipment, process parts, interpret and evaluate for acceptance or rejection, and document results. Be thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of the technique/method. Conduct system performance checks in accordance with the applicable process standard. Providing the necessary guidance and/or supervision to trainees and Level 1 personnel. Be familiar with the codes, standards, and other contractual documents that control the method. When specified, develop work instructions from approved general procedures. Such work instructions shall require final approval by a Level 3 certified in the method. Have a basic knowledge of relevant product manufacturing and inspection technology.
