Qualifications:
- One (1) year experience in management of Medical Records required
- Working knowledge of medical terminology required
- One (1) year experience in management of Central Supply preferred
Expectations and Responsibilities:
- Compiles resident clinical records upon admission.
- Maintains ongoing medical record files for all residents of the community.
- Input medical record information into computer for storage, retrieval and report processing.
- Completes chart audits upon admission, discharge and on an on-going basis according to established schedule and procedures.
- Participates in and provides medical record information for resident care related committees.
- Prepares medical record or insurance related correspondence as directed.
- Maintains current physician credential file.
- Orders necessary medical record documents and office supplies.
- May also: order various medical equipment for nursing unit when necessary, complete transfer forms and/or assist in scheduling appointments/transportation/diagnostic studies for residents.
