Position Overview:
As a Department Manager, you will oversee that department's day-to-day operations and ensure the business's efficient and effective running. You will be responsible for strategic planning, managing budgets, optimizing processes, and leading a team of professionals to achieve organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement business strategies to achieve company goals and objectives.
- Operational Management: Oversee daily operations, including sales, orders, processes, and customer service, to ensure smooth and efficient functioning.
- Financial Oversight: Manage budgets, analyze financial performance, and implement cost-control measures to ensure profitability.
- Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and motivate staff; foster a positive work environment and drive team performance.
- Customer Focus: Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by maintaining quality standards and addressing any issues that arise.
- Compliance: Ensure our team complies with relevant regulations, safety policies, and standard operating procedures.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Proven experience as a General Manager or in a similar executive role, preferably within the Home Service or Construction industry.
- Education: Secondary Education is appreciated but not a requirement for this position.
- Skills: Strong leadership and organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a strategic mindset.
- Knowledge: Solid understanding of business functions, including financials, recruiting, operations management, and marketing.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to address issues promptly and make decisions under pressure.
