Maintenance Supervisor
Maintenance Supervisor
Summary:
The Maintenance Supervisor will report to the Plant Manager and be responsible for the administration and continuous improvement of a total productive maintenance system, ensuring effectiveness, reliability, and sustainability of all facility manufacturing and building assets.
Responsibilities:
· Maintain a proactive preventative maintenance program
· Maintain maintenance workloads, preventative, and predictive maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment.
· Programming, troubleshooting, modifying and/or repairing machines and other equipment. Troubleshooting, replacing and/or repairing machine components including cylinders, pumps, motors, spindles, fixtures, slides, valves, gears, switches, and bearings.
· Interface with all departments regarding maintenance schedules and problems.
· Prioritize maintenance task and work assignments for planned and unplanned maintenance activities.
· Scheduling maintenance staff working hours to provide appropriate coverage for production including overtime requirements.
· Provide coaching and development to the maintenance team. Identify opportunities for training (internally or externally provided) to strengthen the skillset of the maintenance team.
· Maintain adequate spare parts inventory in our internal maintenance software system.
· Adjust to the changing needs of a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
· Pay attention to detail and solve problems quickly.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field preferred but not required.
· 5+ years direct supervisory experience in heavy manufacturing environment.
· Strong knowledge of engineering concepts including electrical wiring, schematic, hydraulic and pneumatic.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office
