The Kitchen Helper is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment. The Kitchen Helper uses strong organization and communication skills along with knowledge of food safety protocol to ensure every guests’ experience is world class. Main Duties:
Sweeps and mops floors.
Washes worktables, walls, refrigerators, and meat blocks.
Separates and removes trash and garbage and places it in designated containers.
Steam-cleans or hoses -out garbage cans.
Takes trash to trash compactor.
Wash pots, pans, and trays by hand and using the dish-washing machine.
Scrapes food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or places them in racks or on conveyor to dish-washing machine.
Polishes silver.
Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas by hand or by use of golf cart or another vehicle.
May assist prep cook with the washing and peeling of fruits and vegetables, using knife or peeling machine.
Loads or unloads trucks picking up or delivering supplies and food.
Other duties as assigned by management.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent is not required but preferred.
Must have a valid Healthcard.
Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures.
Strong communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds consistently, stand for long periods of time, bend, and stoop.
