Kennel Assistant
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Kennel Assistant to join our team. The Kennel Assistant will be responsible for assisting in the care and well-being of animals at our facility.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily care for animals including feeding, watering, and exercising
- Clean and maintain kennels, cages, and animal living areas
- Monitor and report on the health and behavior of animals
- Assist with animal restraint and handling during examinations or procedures
- Support veterinary technicians and assistants with various tasks
Requirements
- Previous experience in pet care or animal handling is preferred but we will train
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary
- Knowledge of basic dog training techniques is a plus
- Strong customer service skills
- Willingness to learn and work as part of a team
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $10.84 - $11.40 per hour
