Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregivers to provide essential support and care for individuals in their homes. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. As an In Home Caregiver, you will work closely with clients who may have varying needs, including those requiring assistance due to age, illness, or disability.
Responsibilities
Provide personal care services including bathing, grooming, and dressing assistance.
Assist clients with mobility and physical activities to promote independence.
Monitor and record changes in clients' health status and report any concerns to appropriate personnel.
Administer medication as prescribed and ensure adherence to care plans.
Engage clients in social activities and companionship to enhance emotional well-being.
Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment for clients.
Support clients with meal preparation and nutritional needs.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
Requirements
Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred.
Knowledge of emergency medicine practices is a plus.
Familiarity with medical environments such as PICU, OR, inpatient settings, medical-surgical units, clinics, geriatrics, Level II trauma centers, teaching hospitals, and outpatient care is beneficial.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and their families.
Ability to demonstrate empathy, patience, and respect towards clients.
Must be able to pass background checks as required by state regulations.
Certification in CPR and First Aid is highly desirable.
Must possess reliable transportation for travel between client homes.
