Job Overview: The Human Resources Liaison serves as the bridge between employees and management, ensuring smooth communication and resolution of HR-related issues. This role is critical in supporting HR functions, including employee relations, policy interpretation, onboarding, offboarding, benefits administration, and compliance with company standards. The HR Liaison works collaboratively with multiple departments to foster a positive workplace environment that aligns with Standard Roofing’s values. Key Responsibilities: Employee Relations:
Serve as the first point of contact for employees with HR-related concerns, offering guidance on company policies and procedures.
Provide HR support to employees at all levels, ensuring open communication and helping resolve day-to-day issues.
Communication Support:
Facilitate clear communication between employees and HR management, ensuring concerns, suggestions, and grievances are addressed in a timely manner.
Policy Implementation:
Assist in the communication and execution of HR policies and programs, ensuring employees are informed, compliant, and understand company expectations.
Onboarding and Offboarding:
Lead the onboarding process by ensuring new hires are well-informed about company policies, benefits, and resources, and have a smooth transition into the company.
Manage the offboarding process, ensuring a seamless exit for departing employees, handling exit interviews, collecting feedback, and facilitating necessary documentation.
Benefits Management:
Administer employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, 401(k), workers' compensation, and other benefits.
Serve as the primary contact for employees with questions or issues related to their benefits and assist with benefits enrollment.
Work with external vendors and insurance providers to ensure benefit programs are efficiently managed and employee needs are met.
Compliance Monitoring:
Ensure company compliance with employment laws, safety standards, and internal regulations, escalating issues to HR management when needed.
Monitor industry-specific compliance issues such as OSHA regulations and safety protocols specific to roofing and construction.
Documentation and Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate and organized employee records, track certifications, safety training, and assist in the preparation of reports required by HR and compliance regulations.
Conflict Resolution:
Mediate minor employee conflicts and escalate serious issues to the HR Manager or senior HR staff when necessary.
Act as a resource to employees and managers for resolving workplace disputes and fostering a positive work environment.
Training and Development:
Support the planning and coordination of employee training and development programs, promoting growth, engagement, and retention.
Employee Engagement:
Help drive employee engagement through company events, wellness programs, and team-building activities, ensuring an inclusive and positive work culture.
Safety and Well-being:
Collaborate with the safety and wellness teams to promote a safe and healthy work environment, including enforcing safety protocols and promoting employee well-being initiatives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources preferred.
2+ years of experience in HR or a related field, with experience in the construction or roofing industry being a plus.
Strong knowledge of HR practices, employment law, and regulatory compliance.
Experience in benefits administration and management.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive issues professionally.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point).
Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
