Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive HR Assistant to support our Human Resources Department. The ideal candidate will assist with various HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, and administrative task, while also promoting community involvement initiatives that enhance our organizational culture.

As our Human Resources Assistant, you will:
  • Assist in the recruitment process, including job postings, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews, and conducting interviews.
  • Maintain employee records and HR databases, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Support the onboarding process for new employees, including orientation and training coordination.
  • Assist in the administration of employee benefits and payroll processing. - Help organize and coordinate employee training and development programs.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies and procedures.
  • Assist with performance management processes and documentation.
  • Support HR initiatives and projects as needed.
  • Coordinate community involvement activities, such as volunteer programs and charitable events, to encourage employee participation and foster a culture of community engagement.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR documentation and files.
Qualifications:
  • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is preferred
  • Bachelor degree in discipline related to functional work or role with 2-3 years of relevant work experience OR demonstrated ability to meet the job requirements through a comparable number of years of applicable work experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point), Google Suite, and HR software (e.g., HRIS).
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a team-oriented attitude
  • Must be able to proactively listen to others to understand issues and situations. Must be able to clearly articulate business needs to both internal and external customers.
  • Broad understanding of general employment laws, recruitment, EEO/AAP, safety training and policy development.
