Position Overview: The Guest Services and Program Activity Runner is responsible for delivering exceptional service and memorable experiences to our guests. This role involves supporting the day-to-day operations of guest services and assisting with the execution of program activities. Additionally, this role encompasses responsibilities related to guest services, general maintenance, and some grounds tasks, particularly during evening hours and weekends. From retrieving pool towels to handling wildlife like catching snakes, and from stocking beverages in the front office and soda machines to managing various other tasks, this position requires a versatile and proactive individual. The ideal candidate is friendly, energetic, and enjoys interacting with people in a dynamic environment. They must be comfortable with multitasking and working primarily outdoors. Key Responsibilities:
Guest Interaction: Greet and assist guests upon arrival, providing information about the resort's amenities, activities, and local attractions. Answer any guest inquiries with a friendly and professional demeanor.
Activity Coordination: Assist in the setup, execution, and teardown of various guest activities and programs. Ensure all events run smoothly and on schedule.
Logistics Support: Transport supplies, equipment, and materials needed for activities and events across the property. Ensure all necessary items are in place and in good condition.
Communication: Act as a liaison between guests, program coordinators, and other staff to ensure clear communication and smooth operation of activities.
Safety & Compliance: Monitor guest safety during activities, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures. Report any safety concerns or incidents to the appropriate personnel.
Problem Solving: Address and resolve guest concerns or issues promptly, escalating to a supervisor when necessary.
Maintenance: Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of guest service areas, including activity stations, common areas, and storage spaces.
Flexibility: Be adaptable to various tasks and responsibilities as required by the needs of the resort. This may include assisting in other departments or taking on additional duties as needed.
Job Requirements:
Customer Service: Strong customer service skills with a passion for creating positive guest experiences.
Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to interact with guests and staff members effectively.
Physical Ability: This role requires the ability to lift and carry equipment (up to 50 pounds), stand or walk for extended periods, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Team Player: Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with others to achieve common goals.
Problem Solving: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think quickly and adapt to changing situations.
Availability: Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Education & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience in hospitality, customer service, or event coordination is preferred.
