This role requires significant third-party auditing experience, ensuring thorough assessments of client practices, systems, and documentation.

Position Summary:
As a Food Safety Lead Auditor, you will perform third-party certification audits to assess packaging facilities’ compliance with SQF, BRCGS, or FSSC 22000 standards. This role requires significant third-party auditing experience, ensuring thorough assessments of client practices, systems, and documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct third-party audits for food safety certifications, specifically for packaging standards (SQF, BRCGS, or FSSC 22000).
- Prepare and deliver audit reports in line with company and regulatory guidelines.
- Provide expertise and constructive feedback to clients regarding non-conformities and areas for improvement.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and regulatory changes.
- Travel extensively to client sites across the U.S., maintaining a professional and cooperative relationship with clients.
- Must have at least 3+ years of third-party auditing experience in food safety standards for packaging (SQF, BRCGS, FSSC 22000).
- Lead Auditor certification in at least one of the required standards: SQF, BRCGS, or FSSC 22000.
- Experience conducting packaging-specific food safety audits for certification bodies.
- Strong knowledge of HACCP principles and the food safety regulatory landscape in the U.S.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel nationwide.
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field.
- Additional certifications in food safety and packaging-related standards.
- Experience in various industry sectors within the food packaging field.
- Work with a leading global certification body, providing high-impact auditing services.
