Day in the Life of a Facilities Supervisor: The Facilities Supervisor works under the supervision of the facilities management team. This position assists in overseeing the day-to-day work and upkeep of plant operations at various locations that Cheyenne Regional owns or leases. Collaborates with the Facilities Manager to delegate work to Facilities Technicians as appropriate for skill level. This position contributes to upkeep and work order completion of repair, replacement, and installation of items relating to the operation of assigned facilities. Secures bids and estimates from outside contractors and vendors.

Here's what you will be doing:
Delegates daily work to facilities technicians as appropriate for location and in coordination with the Facilities Manager.
Responds to repair and maintenance requirements at main hospital campus and/or tenant buildings, Medical Office Building, and other off-site facilities (as assigned).
Ensures the proper function of mechanical, fire, and life safety equipment.
Ensures properties are compliant with all local, state, and federal codes and regulations.
Maintains regulatory compliance documentation for State Health Inspections and all life safety testing as per Joint Commission, where applicable.
Identifies facility equipment and supply requirements and provides appropriate support and resources.
Ensures equipment operating instructions, maintenance records, and other governmental records are complete and accurate.
Facilitates training, technical updates, and orientation of facilities personnel to include policies, procedures, and practices.
Collaborates with appropriate staff to coordinate utility and systems shutdowns, maintenance of safety equipment, and performs requested safety and security functions.
Adheres to established competencies, service standards, and champions excellence in those standards with team members.
Shares off-hours call responsibility with appropriate team.
Desired skills:
Knowledge of the physical plants, operations and maintenance; include building repairs, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
Knowledge of building automation systems, maintenance management systems, building plans, and Life Safety codes.
Ability to maintain and secure a wide variety of door locks.
Knowledge of fire panel functions, fire detection, annunciation, and suppression.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Basic computer and Microsoft Office skills.
Sound decision-making with quantitative/qualitative analysis abilities.
Leadership and teamwork abilities.
Ability to interact respectfully with diverse cultural and socio-economic populations.
Here’s what you will need:
Bachelor’s degree or higher and three (3) or more years of facilities management experience
-OR, Associate’s degree and five (5) or more years of facilities management experience
-OR, High school diploma (or equivalent certificate from an accredited program) and seven (7) or more years of facilities management experience
Valid USA driver’s license
Must have clean driving record that follows Cheyenne Regional Medical Center’s driving guidelines
Nice to have:
Bachelor’s degree in management or engineering
Member of the American Society of Healthcare Engineers (ASHE)
Experience with healthcare accrediting organizations, working with environment of care standards and National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) code
