Job description Job description We are a Plaintiff-side law firm specializing in personal injury, trucking crashes, and other complex litigation. We are currently seeking a highly experienced paralegal to join our dynamic team. We would love to have someone fluent in Spanish in this role. *Responsibilities:* - Assist attorneys in all stages of litigation cases from pre-litigation through post-trial. This gives the paralegal a chance to really bond with the clients throughout their journey. - Conduct legal research, fact-checking, and gathering relevant information. - Draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and discovery requests. - Maintain case files and manage deadlines. - Liaise with clients, witnesses, co-counsel and opposing counsel. - Prepare for trial by organizing exhibits, assisting with witness interviews, and attending court proceedings when necessary. - Review and summarize medical records and/or manage vendors who provide that service. -Coordinate with expert witnesses and provide them with the case information they need to provide their opinions. - Preparation of demands. - Sending letters of representation and opening claims with insurance companies. - Requesting prior medical records and/or supervising staff and vendors who do this. - Resolving liens upon settlement. *Qualifications:* - Paralegal certification or equivalent experience. - Minimum of two years' experience as a paralegal in personal injury, or complex litigation. Federal court experience is preferred, but experience with the New Mexico Rules of Civil Procedure is a minimum requirement. - Proficient in legal research tools and Microsoft Office Suite. - Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. -Self-starting and problem-solving skills are important. - Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly in team collaboration situations. - Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. -Written and spoken Spanish language is a huge plus. *Why Join Us?* We value our team members and recognize the importance of each role in achieving our mission.
