Specific Duties
- Assist Dentists by placing composite restorations, taking impressions, applying sealants, coronal polishing and application of fluoride as instructed by Dentist.
- Process dental instruments and patient care items through the sterilization process safely and efficiently following OSHA guidelines.
- Maintain sterilization equipment, following manufacture maintenance guidelines and intervals
- Turn over operatories, transporting dirty instruments to the sterilization area for processing
- Set up treatment rooms for the next patient procedure
- Provide customer service support to patients by escorting them to and from the treatment room as needed
- Prepare hygiene rooms including, but not limited to, set-up, decontamination, sterilization of all instruments, cleaning handpieces, and restocking supplies
- Help dental assistants, doctors, and front desk staff, when necessary
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or EFDA
- Proficiency in Dentrix software is a plus
- Strong organizational skills
- Experience in dental assisting
- Knowledge of chairside assisting and dental terminology
- Ability to work in a fast-paced dental environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Pay: From $22.00 per hour
