Bridgetown Veterinary Emergency and Referral (BVER) is a specialty animal hospital located in Portland Oregon. Our hospital team includes highly skilled veterinarians specializing in Emergency/Critical Care, Internal Medicine, Neurology, Surgery, Ophthalmology and are supported by dedicated technicians and support staff.

Essential Job Functions
What can BVER offer?
Starting: $20-$27per hour (based on experience) + $5 differential between 10p-6a

Bridgetown Veterinary Emergency & Referral is looking for experienced Veterinary Assistants, for our Emergency Department.
Essential Job Functions
- Triage and obtain patient history from owner
- Perform diagnostic tests and procedures
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by DVM
- Provide support and education to pet owners
- Maintain accurate medical records
- Discharge patients and answer client questions
- Fill prescriptions and review with owners
- Maintain cleanliness of the hospital
- Prior experience in an emergency veterinary hospital, 2+ years of experience preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in fast paced environment and handle stressful situations with composure
- Strong phlebotomy and venipuncture skills
