Hope Crossing Animal Hospital is looking for a passionate, highly-motivated, and team-oriented individual to join our family. We are seeking someone willing to get their hands a little dirty, be able to take direction, as well as work independently when needed. We take pride in providing our clients with the utmost care.
Daily Duties:
- Assist Doctors and Technicians in and outside of rooms.
- Gather history in rooms from clients and relaying this information to the doctor.
- Restrain pets.
- Monitor sick and in-patient clinic care.
- Administer medications.
- Blood draws.
- Running laboratory tests
- Nail trims, anal glands.
- Help with facility up keep (laundry, dishes, and overall tidiness).
Vet Assistant/Tech must demonstrate the following:
- Be a team player and work well with others.
- Demonstrate a professional behavior toward clients and co-workers.
- Ability to multi-task and practice good time management skills.
- Show and take initiative with little direction. Be self-motivated.
- Physically be able to lift up to at least 50lbs and be on your feet for extended periods of time.
This is a full time position, Monday through Friday with alternating half days on Saturday.
Paid vacation, health insurance, and retirement plan is available after 90 days.
