Veterinary Assistant

Hope Crossing Animal Hospital is looking for a passionate, highly-motivated, and team-oriented individual to join our family. We are seeking someone willing to get their hands a little dirty, be able to take direction, as well as work independently when needed. We take pride in providing our clients with the utmost care.
Daily Duties:

Assist Doctors and Technicians in and outside of rooms.
Gather history in rooms from clients and relaying this information to the doctor.
Restrain pets.
Monitor sick and in-patient clinic care.
Administer medications.
Blood draws.
Running laboratory tests
Nail trims, anal glands.
Help with facility up keep (laundry, dishes, and overall tidiness).

Vet Assistant/Tech must demonstrate the following:

Be a team player and work well with others.
Demonstrate a professional behavior toward clients and co-workers.
Ability to multi-task and practice good time management skills.
Show and take initiative with little direction. Be self-motivated.
Physically be able to lift up to at least 50lbs and be on your feet for extended periods of time.

This is a full time position, Monday through Friday with alternating half days on Saturday.
Paid vacation, health insurance, and retirement plan is available after 90 days.
