Equine Veterinary Assistant
The Tennessee Equine Hospital South is looking to add an enthusiastic member to the team! Primary responsibilities include assisting doctors with ambulatory and outpatient cases, patient monitoring and treatments, assisting with emergencies and outpatient cases, restocking and maintenance of trucks and hospital, and invoice management.
TEH is a multi-doctor ambulatory and urgent care facility located 29122 Capshaw Road, Harvest, AL. We treat horses from a variety of disciplines and performance levels, so there’s never a dull moment!
Qualifications
· Positive attitude and ability to work on a team
· Self-motivation and strong work ethic
· Proficiency in horse handling and basic care
· Licensed veterinary technician or post high school education in equine studies preferred
· Capable of heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) and able to jog horses
The positions are for a full-time including a rotation of weekend days. Benefits include health care, paid time off, and paid sick time.
