We will be having a PAC TEST and OUTSIDE PORTION OF S130 Friday SEPT 13th! accepting the Basic online certifications for people living out of state who would prefer to do the training on their own.

Requirements

18 years or older
Must bring in (2) forms of ID (Driver's License, Social Security, State ID, Passport, Green-card, etc.)
Boots are a condition of hire (Provide own boots with these requirements: No military boots or steel toe, boots minimum of 8 inches tall) by the end of training - expect a fire call any moment after completion.
Able to relocate to the Boise Area or live within 1 hour from the base. Unfortunately we are unable to house our employees and do not provide assistance in relocating to the area.

This is a CALL-WHEN-NEEDED position. This means we must have a good phone number to call. You must be at the office within one hour of notice if called to go on a fire assignment. You may be gone from one day to 30 days at a time and go anywhere in the United States.
Prior to taking the training class you will have to pass the "Walk Test". The Work Capacity Fitness Test (WCFT) is required for all Wildland firefighters. The WCFT consist of a three mile walk with a 45lb pack vest, completed in less than 45 minutes.
Pat Rick Corporation provides training required to be a wildland firefighter, these classes are presented in a four day class. You will not be paid for this training. Pat Rick Corporation is certified to train and will be holding classes throughout the year. Pat Rick offers this training free to potential employees. You cannot be hired to work on wildfires until you have taken and passed all the required courses.
