JOB
This position is responsible for performing mid-level human resources management work specializing in employee relations, EEO, and training and development. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Unit manager, who reviews the work for compliance with applicable, legislations, rules and regulations and guidelines.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
DUTIES (NOT ALL INCLUSIVE)Conducts interviews of charging party, responding party and witnesses, who have filed complaints and/or grievances and investigate matters.Obtains and organize facts presented by clientele necessary to clarify issues, discuss issues, and resolve misunderstandings if they exist (during the informal stage of a complaint).Conducts fact finding to locate and obtain necessary documentation materials in connection with informal resolution of a complaint.Handles EEO case, identify the issues, and apply the relevant personnel regulations and principles.Prepares factual narrative statements, cases assigned and processed, recommendations and other pertinent information to generate administrative reports.Reviews existing processes, participates in process improvement initiatives and implementation of innovated ideas.Conducts employee workshops and training sessions.Markets available training opportunities to assist employees and provides the necessary information.Prepares correspondence, surveys, reports, manuals and develop or revise forms.Provides research, data gathering, and summarization for annual reports.Cross-trains with other members of the Human Resources staff to learn processes and procedures and be able to serve as a backup, in the absence of other employees.Provides follow-up to the agency to ensure recommendation(s) are implemented within established timelines.Performs other related work as required.
