The Continuing Education Specialist 3 will provide professional development and training and technical assistance to early childhood educators across the state of Ohio to support their adoption and effective implementation of early learning curricula. Apply knowledge of adult learners to develop the content and layout of asynchronous online training modules. Provide technical assistance and support for end-users of modules. Provide direct coaching support to teachers that is responsive to teacher needs, child assessment data, and curriculum implementation. Consult on a regular basis with Program Coordinator and other project team members to stay current with research and effective practices to support educational programming in early education settings. Maintain an accurate record of all technical assistance and training (site visits, professional development sessions, direct support) offered. Serve as a professional representative of OSU Scheonbaum Family Center Other duties as assigned.
50% - Provide training and technical assistance to early childhood teachers that is responsive to teacher needs, child assessment data, and effective curriculum implementation.
25% - Develop high-quality training modules and professional development materials and deliver as needed
10% - Maintain an accurate record of coaching encounters (site visits, professional development sessions, direct support) offered, and assist in preparation of reports based upon stated goals and outcomes.
15% - Consult and engage on a regular basis with Program Director and other project team members to stay current with research and effective practices to support educators in curriculum implementation. Assist with the development and maintenance of professional development courses and resource materials.
The Target Hiring Range for this position is $47,200.00 - $62,050.00
