Primary Purpose:
Civilian Role Players are essential in representing diversity and realism within the training environment, as students from the public safety training programs of Law Enforcement, Emergency Medical Science and Fire-Rescue develop and apply their knowledge and skills during laboratories or practical training scenarios.
Essential Responsibilities:
Act out specific scripted scenarios, which require law enforcement response.
Follow scenario instructions to ensure all training recruits are tested and evaluated on performance objectives in various situations during the training academy.
Minimum Qualifications:
Possess ability to stand for shifts and follow assigned roles under the supervision of a Public Safety Instructor/Evaluator.
During law enforcement arrest situations, be able to physically assume a standing, kneeling or prone position.
Willing to be hand-cuffed and placed under simulated arrest.
Be able to participate in indoor/outdoor scenarios for a full day and during all weather conditions.
Be able to lift approximately 50 pounds.
Successfully pass a background check through MANPOWER.
Must be 18 years of age.
Valid NC Driver's License is preferred.
Position is ideal for those who would like to assist with the learning of our future public safety professionals. No experience necessary, training is provided. Work is generally scheduled for an 8 hour shift intermittently during an academy training session.
