SUMMARY: Provides staff with effective guidance and assistance in regard to accomplishing the goals and objectives of the cage duties. Responsible for balancing bank drawer within the casino cash, maintaining accuracy throughout the balancing process of their shift; assists with the department operations in a customer service friendly, efficient and profitable manner that promotes superior staff, customer and vendor relations. The ultimate objective of this position is to help advance the Seminole Nation by delivering value and signature moments every day.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include, but are not limited to the following:
Creates and supports a work environment/culture focused on building high-trust relationships by extending support and respect to all.
Oversees the daily cage operations of the casino and ensures compliance with all the policies and procedures in absence of the Supervisor.
Ensures all jackpots, manual payouts are paid according to proper procedures and in a timely manner.
Held accountable, to a higher degree, for the accuracy and thoroughness of departmental records and reports.
Accurately balances assigned cashier bank.
Complete all required IRS forms.
Cashes gaming tickets into money for guests, in a courteous, timely manner.
Complies with all Title 31 requirements and other internal control standards.
Assists other cashiers within cage as needed.
Answers the phone, assists guests with any cash-related problems.
Verify and issue prize checks to guest when necessary.
Ability to resolve problems.
Seeks efficiency in Cage departments without undermining the rules/regulations.
Assists with directing workflow and break times during assigned shift; assists with the implementation of procedures.
Prepares reports as requested.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS - EXPERIENCE and/or EDUCATION: Equivalent to high school education or job specific skills acquired through on-the-job training or apprenticeship program with three (3) months to twelve (12) months of similar or related experience.
MANAGERIAL RESPONSIBILITY: Has no supervisory responsibility. PROBLEM SOLVING: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as policy and procedure manuals, maintenance instructions, and other related documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries from other employees or guests. Must be a Team Player. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The work requires moderate physical exertion such as long periods of standing, repetitively lifting lightweight objects with frequent bending or stooping, recurring lifting of moderately heavy items. Occasionally lifts heavy objects over 50 pounds.
WORKPLACE ENVIRONMENT: The job is performed indoors with frequent exposure to loud noises and fumes (e.g., cigarette smoke).
