Responsibilities As a Building Analyst II, you will conduct residential energy audits for various PA Utility Low-Income programs. The Analyst II will meet program participants at their homes to analyze and discuss their home’s existing performance deficiencies. You will conduct interviews with the program participants to discover usage habits and offer energy efficiency education materials. Your job is to discover problems with their house that lead to unnecessary energy usage and create the plan to increase the home’s performance with cost effective measures. This work includes entering attic spaces, basements, crawlspaces, and living areas of the program participants' home to assess and determine needed services. You must be able and willing to climb a ladder and step onto the roof. You will be responsible for taking measurements, calculating area & volume of all areas of the home. You will also measure windows, doors, accesses, and spaces to install appliances. You will perform health and safety diagnostic testing, confined space calculations, conduct airflow pressure testing, perform data entry, and generate cost effective work orders for installation crews to execute within a set budget. Preferred Qualifications
Current Building Performance Institute (BPI) Building Analyst (BA) or Building Analyst Technician (BA-T) certification required. Building Performance Professional (BA-P) preferred
General minimum requirements for Auditor II also include, but may not be limited to:
Minimum 2 years relevant residential energy auditing experience.
· Current Building Performance Institute (BPI) Building Analyst Technician (BA-T) certification. Willing to certify to BA-P within 6-months if hired.
Standard measuring and calculating ability
Must be available to work full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday, overtime as needed.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to perform tasks while kneeling, crawling, stretching, standing, and sitting.
Must be able to perform tasks while standing on a ladder, stage, or roof.
Must be able to perform tasks while confined to limited spaces.
Must be able to operate company vehicles.
Must be able to complete paperwork legibly, accurately and timely.
Data gathering and reporting
Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to adapt to changing protocols
Demonstrated ability to problem solve
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel as well as online web data entry
Must be able to demonstrate the ability to learn and implement safe working practices

Most tools will be provided by the company however the Auditor may need provide some personal tools and continue to acquire the tools that make for a professional.
Must currently have and maintain a valid PA driver’s license. This position requires driving

Must be able to pass drug testing and Federal/State/County background checks
