Duties & Responsibilities

Lead the Base Camp Department, managing inventory and assets.
Assist in recruitment by supporting application reviews, interviews, and hiring.
Set up and organize seasonal office operations and Base Camp Headquarters.
Plan and manage Base Camp team schedules, including work hours and requests.
Oversee safe use and maintenance of vehicles and equipment.
Communicate effectively with staff and guests via two-way devices and writing.
Provide excellent service to all participants and staff.
Coordinate logistics for arrival and departure.
Supervise staff in maintenance and cleanliness of campsites and facilities.
Manage equipment and material needs for Base Camp operations.
Ensure adherence to health and safety policies for all participants and staff.
Maintain a clean, organized, inspected, neat, and safe work area
Other duties or projects as assigned by SBR leadership
Abide by policies and procedure outlined in the SBR staff handbook

Qualifications & Training

18 years of age or older
Valid U.S. driver's license
Required 2+ yr. leading teams, prefer 2+ Summit employment
Preferred: Scouting/Camping experience
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to use Microsoft Teams daily for work related communication and coordination
Be or become a registered member of the Boy Scouts of America

Performance Results

Attend shift work on a needed basis
Conduct weekly meetings with team for communication and preparedness

Physical Requirements

Multiple hours a day of either standing, walking, hiking, and the ability to lift 50 lbs.
Can pass the physical exam and approved for SBR height and weight requirements HERE
