Job Overview: We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Auxiliary System Manager for Marine Fueling Pump and Turboexpander Packaging. The Auxiliary System Manager will report to the Engineering Manager of the pumps’ functional unit that will lead and oversee packaging engineering systems for fueling pumps and turboexpanders. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in turbomachines (centrifugal pumps and turboexpanders) and reciprocating pumps packaging and associated instrumentation. This position is based at Nikkiso ACD, LLC, located in Santa Ana, CA.
Responsibilities:
Supervision of specifications, development, design, and testing of the Marine Pumps Fueling Packaging and Turbo Expander Systems Packaging.
Review and approval of the project specific design drawings, P&IDs, equipment specifications, and provision of instructions to the design team.
Review BOM for mechanical and electrical components.
Evaluate the Auxiliary systems against the applicable standards and codes, i.e., IGC, IGF, Applicable Class Society, API 614, B31, etc.
Provide instructions for integration of the skid components into the total ship for marine system.
Coordination with the field service team, commissioning team for installation, testing and customer reviews
Review skid structural analysis, stress calculations, finite element analysis FEA, product failure mode and effects analysis FMEA.
Participate in the continual improvement activities, product development, critical equipment supplier selection and evaluation.
Qualifications:
In order to perform the duties of this job, the employee may be required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop or kneel, talk and hear, and use fingers and hands to feel objects, tools or controls.
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. may be necessary.
Candidates may be required to show a driving abstract with a clean driving history for travel between the ACD facility locations and client offices as required. A valid driver’s license is necessary.
Knowledge and Critical Skills/Expertise:
Bachelor of Science in Engineering discipline, Mechanical, aerospace or electrical.
Familiarity for IGF, IGC, Marine Class Societies, etc.
Minimum 10 years of experience in turbomachine (expander, compressor, pump) and reciprocal pumps
Knowledge and experience in working with API, ASME, ASTM, PED, NEMA, IEC or other related national and international codes/standards
Knowledge and experience in working with the hazardous electrical area classification NEMA and IEC (e.g., Cl 1- Grp D- Div I and IEC 60079).

Job specific training modules deemed necessary by employee’s Manager or Director will be required of all employees on an ongoing basis
Employees are required to wear Nikkiso provided PPE as/when needed. PPE’s include, safety shoes, safety glasses, face shields, FR clothing, cryogenic gloves, cryogenic apron, cut resistant gloves, safety gloves, hearing protection, hard hats & dust masks. Failure to comply with Nikkiso ACD safety requirements will result in disciplinary actions, up to and including termination. Salary Range: $95,000 - $130,000
