The Carrot Patch is a warm, community school with an emphasis on nature and the outdoors. We enjoy a wooded outdoor classroom for exploration, and focus on themes from nature to learn about the world.
The ideal candidate has some knowledge of child development and experience in early education, but you will be working with a strong Head Teacher who generously shares her wisdom and experience. Willingness to sing, dance, and be silly are a must!

Duties
Work closely with other members of the teaching team.
Actively engage with children as a positive role model.
Plan and implement age-appropriate activities when ready to do so.
Monitor growth and progress of individual children in your care, and work to scaffold their continued learning.
Follow all center policies and state regulations.
Maintain a healthy classroom environment.
Engage in friendly, professional communication with families.
Continue professional development to ensure continuous quality improvement.
Requirements
Some experience with young children, preferably in a group setting
Calm disposition, creativity, and warmth
Maturity and strong work ethic
Good employment track record and/or currently in school
Nice To Haves
Prefer Bachelor's Degree or Associate's Degree in any major, CDA, or college credits in ECE
Experience with toddlers
Experience with potty-training
Familiarity with developmentally-appropriate practices (DAP)
Enjoyment of nature in all weather
Exposure to "loose parts" and "small worlds"
