Summary

Preschool of the Arts is seeking a dedicated and caring individual to join our team as an Assistant Teacher this fall! This position would be perfect for a high school or college student looking for an after school job- or someone looking for fulfilling work a few hours a day. We are looking for someone able to work with toddlers and preschoolers.

Our part time afternoon teacher must be able to work 2:30-5:45, 4-5 days a week. Additional hours may be available upon request. Must be 18 or older. Duties

• Assist the lead teacher in planning and implementing age-appropriate lessons and activities
• Provide support in diapering and/or potty training
• Foster a positive and engaging learning environment for toddlers
• Collaborate with the lead teacher and other staff members to ensure the well-being and development of each child
• Maintain professionalism while interacting with children, parents, and colleagues
• Communicate professionally with parents
• Ensure all center policies and state regulations are met
• Maintain personal professional development plan
• Clean and sanitize classroom as needed

Requirements

• 18+
• Genuine love for children and a desire to make a positive impact on their lives
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic classroom setting
• A strong understanding of child development
• Must clear full background check and must pass health screening
