PART TIME SUPPORTED LIVING SUPPORT WORKER
Calling all compassionate and dedicated individuals! Mencap is seeking passionate Support Workers to join our incredible team in Llanilar on a part time basis
As a Support Worker, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities. You will be working with two gentlemen who require support with daily living tasks such as cooking, shopping & maintaining their home. As a Support Worker you will also support the gentlemen out for various activities to enable them to have fulfilling lives. The gentleman can have some challenging behaviours, but full training in Positive Behaviour Support is provided. The primary language in the house is British Sign Language, but you will be fully supported to learn this.
What we're looking for:
A genuine passion for supporting others.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.
This role requires you to be a driver, and willing to drive the gentlemen's vehicles.
Contract options:
Part-time: 2 x 16 hour or 1 x 30 hour contracts available
Shift times:
All our services are 24hr care. We prepare the rotas at least 4 weeks in advance so you can still plan your personal and social life!
There is also a sleep-in available where you will receive an enhanced flat rate payment of £62.45
