Queen’s University Belfast are delighted to announce the Mary Mc Aleese Chair in Connected Leadership and are seeking to appoint an exceptional candidate, based in Queen’s Business School (QBS). QBS at Queen’s University Belfast offers world-class undergraduate, postgraduate, and executive education. Affectionately referred to as the ‘People’s President’, Mary Mc Aleese has enjoyed numerous high profile and influential leadership positions in law, journalism and broadcasting, academia and as the 8th President of Ireland where she served two terms in office from 1997-2011. With deep roots in Belfast and an alumna and former academic of Queen’s University, we are delighted to acknowledge and recognise Mary Mc Aleese’s unparalleled contribution to building bridges, advocating human rights and creating an inclusive society
About the person:
The Mary Mc Aleese Chair in Connected Leadership will develop and strengthen the leadership education and research portfolio within QBS. This individual will contribute to strengthening QBS’ vibrant research culture and facilitate knowledge exchange and engagement amongst its wide range of stakeholders. The successful candidate will hold a Ph D in Management or a closely related discipline with recognised expertise in leadership, ideally in inclusive, responsible or ethical leadership or a related, relationship-centred approach to management.
