We are seeking to recruit 10 Social Work Tutors to join the Social Work team at Queen’s University Belfast to support the delivery of the Bachelor of Social Work by providing academic and pastoral support to a cohort of undergraduate students. This includes supporting placement practice learning opportunities as well as academic studies - delivering tutorials across the Bachelor of Social Work degree and contributing to the teaching and marking of coursework, written exams, and other types of assessments.

Social work at Queen’s is taught by a team of academics who are qualified and registered social workers. Everyone in the social work team is actively involved in research across a range of social issues and also engaged with practice development, to promote the best outcomes for individuals, families and communities.
About the person:
The successful candidate must have, and your application should clearly demonstrate that you meet the following criteria:
Social Work Qualifications and Experience
- Professional Qualification in Social Work
- Registered with the Northern Ireland Social Care Council
- Five years’ experience in professional social work practice
Education and Training Experience
- Experience in assessing social work student/practitioner learning (e.g. academic tutoring; on-site supervision ofpractice learning;
- Experience of providing mentoring to students and / newly qualified social workers in their Assessed Year in Practice (AYE); practice supervision of students or newly qualified social workers).

Fixed term contract posts are available for the stated period in the first instance but in particular circumstances may be renewed or made permanent subject to availability of funding.
