Job Title: Lab Assistant

Ward/Dept: Pathology/Microbiology
Hours: Full time – 37.5 hours per week
Shift Pattern: Mon to Friday – 09:00 – 17:30
Pay Rates – Day: £13.07 per hour

Responsibilities of this job role

· To receive specimens from the pathology reception, sorting through samples for various benches such as urines, stools, swabs, tissues and fluids, blood and blood cultures.
· Work closely with registered biomedical staff, to observe and implement standard operating procedures, to liaise with clinical and nursing staff when required.
To be successful in applying for this role you will need:
Laboratory experience and keyboard skills required
