Marram Hotel Collection are delighted to present the exciting career opportunity as we prepare to launch a brand new 4-star luxury hotel in Aberlady, East Lothian, Scotland’s Golf Coast. The new hotel in Aberlady will be the third hotel in the collection with plans to acquire similar style hotels in iconic golf locations around the UK and Ireland.
Opening in June 2024 the hotel will attract golfers and leisure guests looking for an authentic and genuine hospitality experience. With 27 rooms and exceptional spaces for relaxing, eating and drinking, all designed to immerse our guests in tailor made experiences that defines Scottish hospitality.
**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a professional Hotel Receptionist to join our team and be the first point of contact for guests visiting our hotel. The ideal candidate should have a passion for hospitality and excellent guest service skills.
**Duties:**
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the hotel
- Check guests in and out of their rooms efficiently
- Handle guest inquiries and provide information about hotel services
- Assist guests with booking reservations and managing room assignments
- Answer phone calls and direct them appropriately
- Process payments and maintain guest accounts
- Maintain a clean and tidy reception area
**Qualifications:**
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in the hospitality industry
- Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanor
- Proficiency in phone etiquette and handling multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to speak multiple languages is a plus
- Knowledge of hotel operations and reservation systems is beneficial
