JOB LOCATION:
The Rabbit Hotel & Retreat, 882 Antrim Road, Templepatrick, Ballyclare.



About the role:

We are currently seeking to recruit an outgoing, articulate and sales-minded individual to join our successful and diverse organisation, as part of our wedding & event sales department at The Rabbit Hotel & Retreat.
The successful applicant should have a passion for weddings and events, a sales minded approach, a keen eye for detail and be eager to learn and progress in this industry. Commitment and enthusiasm are essential, alongside experience in the weddings and events industry.


Job Description:

The main duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Managing a portfolio of wedding & event bookings from dealing with the initial enquiry, conversion and full planning process to handing over to the operations team on the day.
  • Responsible for generating sales leads for event bookings and action targeted monthly sales calls.
  • Conducting show rounds to prospective clients or wedding couples with monthly conversion targets linked to a commission/ incentive structure
  • Up-selling all products on offer, in order to maximize revenue again linked to an upsell targets and commission structure
  • Working to monthly and annual revenue & conversion targets for weddings & events
  • Working closely with the clients throughout the full planning process, keeping meticulous records of all communication and client requests. Uploading detailed information for each client and event onto the company PMS system and communicating with the relevant managers to ensure the smooth running of each function.
  • Working to stringent deadlines set by clients and management
  • Following company procedures in regards to billing of each event and the administration associated with it. Following company procedure for accepting and processing payments.
  • Help develop and maintain the wedding & events presence for the Rabbit across our social channels. Making content suggestions, liaising with marketing and maintaining these channels where necessary.
  • Representing the hotel at wedding and event trade shows as and when required.
  • Showing a keen interest in the wedding and events industry to enhance your role on a continual basis including but limited to maintaining a personal presence on Linked IN in line with company procedures and guidelines.
  • Demonstrating excellent customer service and communication skills to ensure customers receive first-class, professional service at all times.
  • Showing tact and diplomacy when dealing with difficult situations.
  • Attending any training course, that management may deem beneficial.
  • Carrying out any reasonable request made by any member of the management team.


Essential criteria:

The applicant must
  • Have previous sales experience gained within a customer service environment.
  • Have experience in the coordination and management of events /weddings.
  • Be able to demonstrate excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Have previous administrative background, competent in all Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Publisher
  • Be capable of multi-tasking, prioritising, and managing time efficiently.
  • Be able to demonstrate excellent people skills exuding warmth and portraying a genuine desire to assist guests in the of planning and execution of life defining events.
  • Demonstrate experience in consistently delivering high level customer service.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of how important attention to detail is and experience in delivering it.
  • Have experience working as part of a team and have the ability to work effectively with others.
Desirable Criteria:
  • Previous hospitality experience
