Enabling people to maximise their independence in relation to their personal and social needs in accordance with National Care Standards.
Promoting social inclusion by working with people to maximise their personal independence, health, and wellbeing and to access opportunities in their local communities.
Pushing and pulling of equipment such as hoists, wheelchairs, bathing chairs and use of evacuation equipment in emergencies working within Health and Safety requirements.
Undertaking a range of personal/physical care tasks when required by assisting with eating, drinking, administering medication, continence, dressing and any other tasks in accordance with the care plan.
Undertaking all other duties as required for the role. Duties will be in line with the grade.

The Person
- You must have the ability to work with minimum supervision at times and exercise judgment and initiative.
- You will be a Team worker with excellent communication skills and possess a can-do’ approach to help resolve problems .
- You will have the ability to follow care plans.
- You will have the ability to work flexibly which may include Dayshift, Backshift, Sleepovers, Waking nights. (Unsocial hours and other payments may apply to some of these temporary elements).
Before confirming to your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.
As this role requires SSSC registration, the successful applicant will have three months to apply for registration.
