Plant Supervisor - Ready Mix
Job Overview:
The Ready Mix Plant Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the ready mix concrete plant, ensuring efficient production, quality control, safety compliance, and team management. This role requires strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of concrete production processes.

The Ready Mix Plant Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the ready mix concrete plant, ensuring efficient production, quality control, safety compliance, and team management. This role requires strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of concrete production processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Management:
- Supervise daily plant operations, ensuring production meets company standards and customer specifications.
- Monitor equipment performance and coordinate maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Manage inventory levels of raw materials and coordinate procurement as needed.
- Quality Control:
- Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure product consistency and compliance with industry standards.
- Conduct regular testing and inspections of materials and finished products.
- Address quality issues promptly and implement corrective actions.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Promote a culture of safety by enforcing safety regulations and best practices.
- Conduct safety training for all employees and ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training.
- Team Leadership:
- Supervise, train, and mentor plant staff to foster a high-performance work environment.
- Schedule and allocate tasks effectively to ensure efficient operations.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
- Customer Relations:
- Collaborate with sales and dispatch teams to ensure timely delivery of products to customers.
- Address customer inquiries and concerns regarding product quality and delivery.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in ready mix concrete production or a related field, with at least 5 in a supervisory role.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of concrete production processes and equipment.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Proficiency in using computer systems and software for production management.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions under pressure.
- Comfortable working in various weather conditions and at heights.
