Job Title: Asphalt Plant Manager
Al Sahraa Recruitment Services is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Asphalt Plant Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the production, quality, and efficient operation of an asphalt plant. The role requires comprehensive knowledge of asphalt production processes, materials, equipment, and safety regulations. The Asphalt Plant Manager ensures that the plant operates at optimal capacity, meets production targets, maintains high quality standards, and adheres to environmental and safety guidelines.
The position also involves managing a team of plant operators, technicians, and maintenance staff to ensure that the asphalt plant runs smoothly and efficiently.

The position also involves managing a team of plant operators, technicians, and maintenance staff to ensure that the asphalt plant runs smoothly and efficiently.

- Oversee the daily operations of the asphalt plant, ensuring production targets are met while maintaining high levels of quality and safety.
- Manage the production process to ensure efficient and cost-effective use of raw materials and resources.
- Optimize plant operations, including equipment utilization, material usage, and energy consumption.
- Implement production schedules and coordinate with the project and logistics teams to meet delivery timelines.
- Ensure that all asphalt products meet the required specifications, quality standards, and industry regulations.
- Monitor the quality of raw materials and the finished asphalt products, performing quality checks throughout the production process.
- Work with laboratory technicians to conduct regular tests on asphalt mixes to ensure compliance with standards.
- Identify and address any quality-related issues or defects in the asphalt production process.
- Supervise and manage plant operators, technicians, and maintenance staff, ensuring that they are well-trained and performing at their best.
- Conduct regular team meetings, communicate production goals, and ensure all staff adhere to plant policies and procedures.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and support to staff, encouraging a safe, efficient, and collaborative working environment.
- Oversee training and development of employees to improve their skills and knowledge related to asphalt production and plant operations.
- Ensure the asphalt plant and all associated equipment are well-maintained, operational, and serviced regularly.
- Work closely with the maintenance team to schedule preventive maintenance and address any breakdowns or mechanical issues.
- Manage inventory levels of spare parts, raw materials, and other supplies required for the smooth operation of the plant.
- Ensure all equipment complies with safety and operational regulations, making necessary adjustments or repairs when required.
- Promote and enforce health, safety, and environmental policies, ensuring all plant operations comply with local and federal regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to ensure a safe working environment.
- Address and resolve any safety hazards or environmental concerns, implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Maintain proper documentation related to safety, environmental compliance, and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the procurement and management of raw materials (aggregates, bitumen, etc.), ensuring the availability of materials for continuous production.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and manage inventory levels efficiently.
- Track material usage and wastage to minimize costs and avoid material shortages.
- Develop and manage the plant’s operating budget, controlling costs related to production, labor, and maintenance.
- Implement cost-saving strategies while maintaining production quality and efficiency.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track plant performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Prepare and present regular reports on plant performance, production output, quality metrics, and maintenance activities to senior management.
- Maintain accurate records of production data, equipment maintenance, raw material usage, and safety incidents.
- Ensure compliance with all necessary permits, licenses, and regulations, keeping updated records and documentation for audits or inspections
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or related field) or a background in production management. Equivalent work experience may be considered.
- Certification in Asphalt Technology or related field is an added advantage.
Technical Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of asphalt production processes, including mixing, heating, and quality control.
- Familiarity with plant equipment, such as asphalt batching plants, conveyors, drum mixers, and related machinery.
- Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations specific to asphalt production.
- Experience in managing production costs, budgets, and optimizing plant performance.
Pay: AED10,000.00 - AED12,000.00 per month
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Abu Dhabi: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
