IT Administrator
We are looking for an IT Administrator who can join by 10 September 2024.
Candidates with a Bachelor degree in Computer Science and 2 years experience in any schools in UAE in the similar position can apply.
The recruit would be responsible for
· Maintain and develop the School’s network and telephony infrastructure.
· Install and maintain all School based network operating systems on both physical and virtual servers.
· Provide preventative maintenance, backup and emergency procedures to ensure network performance.
· Develops and maintains a systems recovery and disaster management plan in the event of system failure.
· Ensure functioning of applications and systems software on all platforms.
· Install, configure and monitor the School Internet servers and associated peripherals and software, including network accessibility and related security issues.
· Administer the School based Portal, website, Email system, Firewall as well as the SPAM and web filter.
· Assist Administration and Senior Academic staff with the smooth running of the student administration system, including the export of data and the creation and modification of reports.
· Plan and implement maintenance and upgrades for system software and hardware as and when required.
· Allocate user accounts, privileges and network resources and design and implement an appropriate School network model, including security and user group structures.
· Administration of all School database systems.
· Maintain documentation of network and communication cabling, systems and supported hardware.
· Establish and maintain systems to monitor network traffic, resolving bottlenecks and enhancing network throughput and resolve faults.
· Analyze system logs and identify potential issues with computer systems.
· Implement and co-ordinate housekeeping procedures such as system back-ups, monitoring file and disk access etc.
· Assist the IT Manager and Learning Technologies with the planning of future School network additions and alterations.
· Provide ongoing in-house training for other Information Technology staff as required.
· Researches new products for appropriate and necessary equipment replacement or additions.
ESSENTIAL TECHNICAL:
Demonstrated experience and strong technical knowledge of the following:
Current Microsoft Windows Server technologies including:
o Windows Server
o Microsoft Exchange
o Microsoft SQL Server
o Microsoft Share Point
o Active Directory
· VMware virtualization technologies
· Server & SAN technology and solutions
· Backup and disaster recovery
· Enterprise security policies and solutions
· Web and Email security and filtering
· Networking skills including switches, routers, firewalls and VPNs
· PABX and telephony solutions
· Extensive knowledge of IP protocol, DNS, DHCP etc
· Wireless LAN technologies
· Office365 administration
· Cloud software and infrastructure solutions
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to AED5,000.00 per month
