Program Summary
KBR supports the operational needs of U.S. armed forces at Morón Air Base in Spain and several bases in Turkey. Our services ensure smooth operations, allowing Air Force and government personnel to focus on their missions. We provide program management, civil engineering, morale, welfare, and recreation support, among other essential services. Awarded by the Air Force Installation Contracting Center, our contract spans a five-year base period with three one-year options, reflecting our commitment to excellence and operational support.
Job Summary
- Understanding of Transmission Systems: Comprehensive knowledge of how automatic and manual transmissions work, including the different components such as gears, clutches, and torque converters.
- Proficiency in disassembling, repairing, and reassembling transmissions, including replacing faulty components and rebuilding units.
- Understanding of the hydraulic systems within automatic transmissions, including the function of pumps and valves.
- Ability to perform precise measurements and adjustments to ensure the transmission functions correctly after repair.
- Knowledge of the electronic systems that control modern transmissions, including sensors, solenoids, and control modules.
- Understanding the types and properties of transmission fluids, including the ability to perform fluid changes and flushes correctly.
- Determine serviceability of vehicle systems, assemblies or subassemblies, and the need for repair.
- Analyze malfunctions by visual and auditory examination or through the use of test equipment. Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using test instruments such as handheld computers, motor analyzers, chassis charts, and pressure gauges.
- Repair, adjust, overhaul, or replace major assemblies or subassemblies such as engine; mechanical, electrical, air-conditioning, fuel, emission, power train, brake, steering and suspension systems. Repair and diagnosis of - with some assistance: engines (gas and diesel), power trains to include differentials, transmissions, clutches, drive shafts, PTO's and wheel ends, electrical systems including starters and alternators, HVAC systems, hydraulic systems, steering systems, electronics to include ECM's, ECU's, sensors etc., engine bolt on items such as turbos, fan clutches, injectors, cooling system etc., brake systems including ABS, suspension systems (spring and air).
- Remove and disassemble gasoline or diesel engines and components. Repair components by replacing worn or damaged parts with new or reconditioned parts. Reassemble, adjusts and test repaired units for proper operation.
- Test, recondition and replace faulty alternators, generators, starter motors and related items such as voltage regulators and batteries. Repair or replace faulty ignition, electrical wiring, fuses, lamps, and switches.
- Service, identify and repair faults on electronically controlled vehicle systems such as electronic fuel injection, electronic ignition, anti-lock braking, cruise control, automatic transmission, air bags and air conditioning.
- Perform preventive and special maintenance. Use technical publications to maintain vehicles to prescribed manufactures' maintenance schedules. Perform special inspections and maintenance on vehicles requiring corrosion control, storage, shipment, and winterization. Properly annotates all maintenance performed on prescribed forms for data collection purposes.
- Adhere to all established safety policies and standards to include identification, use, and proper procedures for handling or disposal of hazardous waste.
- Identify and determine parts required for repair of disassembled units, warrantable repairs, and document on repair work order.
- Install, maintain, identify faults, and repair electrical wiring and computer-based equipment in motor vehicles and other equipment.
- Perform work with computer-controlled engine management and other systems.
- Use meters, test instruments and circuit diagrams to find electrical faults.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Adhere to all safety guidelines, protocols, and regulations to create a secure working environment.
- Participate in safety training programs and consistently apply acquired knowledge in day-to-day operations.
- Proactively identify potential safety hazards and take corrective measures to mitigate risks.
- Collaborate with the QC team to address any identified issues and implement corrective actions promptly.
- Use Microsoft Office and Outlook
- Maintain accurate documentation to meet the required standards and ensure compliance with relevant certifications.
- Physical tasks required for lifting , carrying, loading, and unloading up to 25 kg/55 lbs.

Basic Qualifications
- Must be a Turkish citizen.
- Must have a valid Turkish professional driver’s license (Minimum “B” Class)
- Technical/High School graduate/two-year University Graduate (must possess diploma)
- For Male Candidates, Fulfilled Turkish Military obligation.
- Read, write, speak, and understand English level I
- 5 years’ experience as a vehicle mechanic
- Minimum 3 years’ experience working on automatic transmissions, either through an apprenticeship or on-the-job training.
Preferred Qualifications
- Read, write, speak, and understand English level II
- Familiar with English terminology of parts, tools and equipment.
