Program Summary
KBR supports the operational needs of U.S. armed forces at Morón Air Base in Spain and several bases in Turkey. Our services ensure smooth operations, allowing Air Force and government personnel to focus on their missions. We provide program management, civil engineering, morale, welfare, and recreation support, among other essential services. Awarded by the Air Force Installation Contracting Center, our contract spans a five-year base period with three one-year options, reflecting our commitment to excellence and operational support.
Job Summary
Housing Office serves as the office of primary responsibility for installation housing programs, advocate on behalf of military members for safe, affordable and quality housing. The personnel are responsible for managing and operating housing referral services to provide adequate housing for military personnel living on the Turkish economy.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Inspect off-base housing for rental house damages and other hazards before each rental contract is signed and the termination of the contract. Damages and hazards shall be listed on the inspection report and appropriate corrective actions completed prior to consummation rental/lease agreements.
- Conduct safety inspections when requested by military member.
- Maintain a list of available housing and provide personalized assistance for off-base housing matters.
- Ensure military members are aware of their Overseas Housing Allowance (OHA) levels.
- Assist members in receiving reimbursement for estate agent fees if the member elects to rent a property not on the housing list.
- Monitor posting on government website if applicable and ensure information is current.
- Utilize e MH modules and components to perform daily housing operations, maintain database accuracy and provide reporting as required
- Assist customers in locating off-base housing and finalizing housing agreements.
- Prepare the Housing Referral Office Rental Agreement form and the rental condition checklist.
- Provide utilities information and translation and/or interpreter assistance as required.
- Act as liaison between housing customers and landlords during lease negotiations and lease terminations.
- Assist members in settling disputes with landlords.
- Ensure non-discriminatory practices are maintained
- Provide community information brochures.
- Identify, budget, advocate and monitor programs to replace, improve, operate, maintain and repair housing assets. Use Commander approved O&M 5-year long range plans to support furnishing requirements.
- Other tasks assigned by the Operations Segment Manager
- Daily use of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook) to complete reports, tasks, and communicate with customers and co-workers.
- Lifting and similar physical tasks required for maintaining cleanliness and organization in the office and storage area.
- Work independently and solve problems with minimal supervision.
- Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and government officials via telephone, computer, and in-person
- Daily use of organizational and multitasking abilities with a focus on detail, accuracy and quality of work
- Organize time to meet deadlines.
- Work well with a diverse range of individuals, including clients, colleagues, and government officials
*** Duties and responsibilities may evolve, and change based on the needs of the project and the organization. Due to the workflow in our Izmir Site, different departments experience periods of high workload at different times. While some units are very busy, others may go through quieter periods. During such times, to efficiently utilize our workforce and maintain workplace motivation and team spirit, units that are going through quiet periods, supports units with heavy workloads. The personnel to be hired in this position may work in different tasks and units (FMS, TMO, Dispatch, CE, SMO, etc..) during periods when the workload in their workshop is light or during urgent needs in other units.
Basic Qualifications
- Must be a Turkish citizen.
- Fluent in English and Turkish (both written and verbal).
- Valid Class B driver’s license.
- Fulfilled Turkish Military obligation.
- University degree in relevant field
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Turkish Customs and US government regulations and procedures
All positions require the applicant to obtain and pass a medical physical that is certified by a doctor.
All positions require a current and favorable Turkish Security background check.
