Job Description Summary
Overall Objective is to optimize PTR profitability by driving cost-out actions for all product ranges across all PTR Manufacturing Units, with a dedicated focus on ITO and OTR cost optimization. This includes implementation of all cost-out initiatives from global PTR Product Cost out initiatives as well as initiating and developing local cost out initiatives in full coordination with the PTR manufacturing Units. The PTR Product Cost out Leader will target to improve processes in order to consistently optimize OTR design/solution compared to ITO with the support of various Functions such as Unit Manufacturing, Sourcing, Supply Chain, Quality, Tendering and Fulfilment.

Roles and Responsibilities
- The PTR Product Cost Out Leader will support to drive all cost improvement projects and actions in coordination with the respective PTR Unit in order to meet the annual cost out targets and will work jointly with different functional disciplines such as engineering, manufacturing, sourcing, supply chain, quality, tendering and fulfilment
- The person will drive cost-out actions from both PTR wide product cost out initiatives and local cost-out initiatives
- The person will monitor the local cost out dashboard and cost out action database, support internal meetings/reviews as well as managing global PTR meetings regarding cost out
- After PT Leadership approval and risk mitigation, these actions will be ready to be distributed and implemented in the Manufacturing Units.
- The person will drive implementation of all these actions with support from the Unit cost out team, while collecting feedback for further improvements and feedback to the PTR Product Management Leaders
- Will support and contribute to internal product cost benchmarks between PTR units to make sure best practices regarding cost out are systematically implemented in the unit
- Will act as the main interface and responsible wrt PTR wide initiatives both internally and externally such as performance improvement plan and will be responsible for timely data collection and reporting of global PTR Cost-Out KPI’s
- The PTR Product Cost out Leader will support local cost-out initiatives in the Unit and drive this initiative in the Unit Cost out Team
- The person will act as the main interface and responsible wrt PTR wide initiatives both internally and externally such as performance improvement plan
- The person will need to show a leadership style that clearly allows working with different disciplines, while respecting and encouraging new ideas and developments, driving and influencing towards standardization and global cost-out initiatives and within the context and rules of PTR Industrial and design rules
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years power transformer knowledge
- Bachelor's degree in engineering fields, preferably electrical engineer
- Having at least 8 years of international environment, with an experience in sales / product management / fulfilment
- No travel restrictions in national and international area
- Strong oral and written communication skills in English
