About this team
The Colour Team are technical experts who are passionate about executing seasonal and long range colour developments. Collaborating with cross functional teams to support in problem solving and finding solutions for colour execution. Ensure all lab dips are approved to meet calendar deadlines, and all colours meet Lululemon standards and give the highest level of colour matching.
A day in the life:
- Visually & Digitally reviews lab dips to meet colour and colourfastness quality standards
- Track all approvals and rejections in PLM to assure calendar and buy ready deadlines are met
- Measure and track supplier performance in terms of colour matching, submit turn time, colour quality and communication
- Provides expertise on achievability & feasibility
- Supports in building premium color performance
- Understands basic colour theory to solve colour issues
- Collaborate with SSC Color department to ensure full transparency and awareness of color status
- Work side by side with the team to support in balancing workload and business needs
Qualifications:
- 5 years experience working as a colorist for an apparel brand or textile mill, preferable a sport performance or fashion brand
- 16 or better on Munsell Hue 100 Test
- Good understanding of Datacolor and/or Xrite software
- Strong computer skills (Excel, Adobe Illustrator, PLM) software, Microsoft office applications and Outlook); experience with colour tools and systems
- Provides expertise on achievability & feasibility
- Collaborate with SSC Color department to ensure full transparency and awareness of colour status
- Knowledge of product creation calendar timeline and able to work against deadline
- Team player and good understanding of apparel industry functions
