Social Worker
Job title: Social Worker
Work Location: Molemole Municipality – Botlokwa/Dendron [one (1) position]
Division/Department: Outreach – Biomedical, Behavioural & Structural Services
Salary: R5, 000.00 per month
Job type: Twelve months contract
Basic Functions:
Implement social work services along the continuum of care from prevention and early intervention to tertiary services, providing comprehensive case, group, and community work services within fixed and community settings. Support stakeholder engagement and community mobilization.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
· Psycho -Social Support and comprehensive Psycho-Therapy
· Development of and support client service plan, Case Management, Linkages and follow ups
· Taking a lead on Gender Affirming Health Care Services, Quality control and Capacity Building
· Stakeholder Coordination, Community Strengthening and Program Marketing
· Advocacy, Communication, Social Mobilization and Addressing Structural Barriers to Health Care accessibility
· Data Management, Reporting and upholding Professionalism
Job requirements:
Education:
· Grade twelve (12) is required.
· Degree in Social Work.
Experience Required:
· Three (3) years’ experience;
· Intermediate MS Office.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills;
- Time management, conflict management, problem-solving skill, probing skills, approachable, ability to delegate and follow up, networking ability, team player and ability to multitask;
- Effective communication within a multi-disciplinary team comprising of nurses, medical officers, community health workers and peer educators;
- Obtain and maintain record of annual required CPD points as per SACSSP requirements;
- Maintain professional registration with SACSSP;
- Perform ad hoc duties as requested by the Project Manager.
