Job title: HTS Counselor
Work Location: Molemole Municipality – Botlokwa/Dendron [two (2) positions]
Division/Department: Outreach – Biomedical & Behavioural Services
Salary: R5, 000.00 per month
Job type: Twelve months contract
Basic Functions:
The main purpose of this position is to provide HIV / STI and TB counseling and testing services to MSM, Sex workers, Transgender (TG) and men clients in the Comprehensive Prevention Programs implementation modality and reporting requirements. The incumbent will also support Community based HIV Testing Services (HTS), working closely with the outreach teams reporting to the Site Coordinator and M&E Officer.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
· HTS demand generation, Health Education and Health Promotion;
· Offer HTS & Case Management (Linkages, Referrals, Treatment Adherence, Support and Follow up);
· Quality Control & Capacity Building;
· Data Management, Accurate Record Keeping and Reporting.
Job requirements:
Education:
· Grade twelve (12) is required.
Experience Required:
· Three (3) years’ experience in HTS counselling or similar field is required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
· Team player;
· Excellent communication skills both verbal and written;
· Time management;
· Analytical skills and be result oriented;
· Competence in Microsoft applications;
· Must have ability to plan, organize, implement and evaluate assigned goals and project objectives;
· Experience in providing HIV health education at the community level;
· Ability to handle multiple and conflicting priorities and work.
