The purpose of the role is to manage the daily operations of the Cold Storage Facility and its staff to ensure maximum output and utilisation. The successful candidate will also be responsible for the management of employees on the shift, including the discipline of the team.
Minimum Requirements
Grade 12
A minimum of 5 years warehouse or dispatch experience
Intermediate computer literacy skills (e.g. Microsoft Office, Syspro, Translution, etc.)
Knowledge of the relevant Health & Safety legislation.
Knowledge of the required Food Safety requirements
Able to work shifts, including weekends.
Good organisational and planning skills
Efficient communication skills
Duties and Responsibilities
Supervise the receiving, handling, sorting and distribution of goods.
Monitoring and allocation of storage space
Ensure the correct storage of goods.
Track stock levels by using the relevant systems.
Management of staff (discipline, time & attendance, recruitment, etc.)
