Production & Inventory Planner
Minimum Qualifications:
Financial Management:
- National Diploma in Production and Inventory Management, Logistics, or Supply Chain.
- 3 - 5 years of relevant experience in production planning, logistics, or supply chain roles.
Financial Management:
- Safeguard company assets (both working capital & fixed assets).
- Minimize waste and rework to improve efficiency.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers to ensure seamless operations.
- Upload sales orders into the planning file and work closely with the Customer Service Department (CSD) to determine customer requirements.
- Plan production needs for finished products with third-party packers and the internal packing plant.
- Maintain and update the tanker plan with third-party bulk tanker needs.
- Communicate the production plan to relevant packing plants.
- Participate in weekly planning meetings with both internal and external packing plants.
- Calculate packaging material demand and create purchase requisitions.
- Maintain and adjust production plans as needed, rescheduling as required.
- Compile weekly reports for production variance analysis (PVA) and stock covers for finished goods.
- Work with suppliers to ensure the delivery of required raw materials and packaging.
- Plan product trials and ensure all materials are ready for testing.
- Reconcile SAP data with third-party manufacturer stock and investigate discrepancies.
- Regularly update SAP Master Data, ensuring accuracy for existing and new products.
- Conduct monthly stock takes at third-party locations.
- Close out all outstanding purchase orders at month-end
